Sur le Marbre is a visionary poem: while staring at the marble’s veins, the narrator witnesses a parade of faces, animals and scenes, somewhere between dream, memory and nightmare. A collage of raw images (clowns, beasts, lovers, wounds), the poem balances innocence and violence, the grotesque and the tragic. A sensory plunge where stone turns into a mirror of past and self.
