The Power of Poetry to Unite

In a world often divided by borders, languages, or differences, poetry has the power to bring people together. I have seen this in workshops, readings, and encounters: a poem can cross boundaries, spark conversations, and remind us of our shared humanity.

My writing is guided by this belief. I want poetry to remain accessible, not locked away in books, but alive in voices, classrooms, and community spaces. Whether through published collections, live performances, or cultural projects, I seek to offer words that open doors rather than close them.

This vision is also what inspired me to create the Culture Without Border Poetry Contest, launched three years ago. What started as a small initiative for young people has since grown into an international event, uniting children, adults, educators, and cultural organizations across countries. Each year, I am moved to see how participants (whether beginners or experienced writers) bring their creativity, their stories, and their unique voices into the collective celebration of poetry.

The contest has become a living proof of what I believe in: poetry as a bridge. A bridge between generations, when a child’s first verses resonate with the wisdom of a lifelong reader. A bridge between cultures, when poems travel from one language to another without losing their heartbeat. And a bridge between strangers, who suddenly recognize themselves in the words of someone they may never meet.

Poetry is not about isolation. It is about connection, building spaces where differences are not obstacles, but opportunities for dialogue and understanding. Through initiatives like Culture Without Border, I hope to continue amplifying diverse voices and creating spaces where poetry belongs to everyone.

If you would like to support the Culture Without Border Poetry Contest, your contribution helps us keep this celebration of creativity alive and open to all.
